Child Photographer

A little bit more about me and my love for traveling and photography.

As I was going through my childhood scrapbook recently, two things stuck out to me. First, I am so grateful for the digital world we live in. This deserves its own spotlight, so I will discuss that in the future. Right now I would like to focus on the second thing which stood out to me. One of my first photography sessions was when I was 13. I remember loving to take pictures of beautiful landscapes, or capturing cool perspectives.

During the summer after my 8th-grade year, I qualified to go on a weeklong school trip to Yellowstone National Park. I absolutely loved seeing all the animals, and amazing vistas, and exploring with my disposable cameras in tow. As you can see most of the pictures were blurry and dark, but at the time I was so proud of them. Most importantly capturing the natural beauty brought me happiness.

What I had forgotten was that I was doing photography lifestyle sessions too. That is when I found someone that would allow me to dream. My first session was with my cousins when I was babysitting.

A few years later I became an Aunt and my nieces and nephews soon became my models.

Some of us find our passion when we are young and are able to pursue it from then on. Others of us are told it’s unrealistic and unfortunately, sometimes we believe that. Then there are some that discover it later in life. Not that you need my permission, but maybe you just need to hear this. Chase your dreams no matter how big or small they might be. We all have to start somewhere.  Then we continue to grow as we learn. I would love to hear what your passion or dream is that you wish you would have pursued.  Reach out to me or tag me on Facebook or Instagram to share your dream with me.
